Can't we just do the same trade in a sign and trade?

Just to clarity.. Beal can only be traded after his contract has been matched. The rights to match cant be traded.

Sorry didn't realise the auction for Beal had already ended..
So in this case, hostile can match contract and then trade him as you would any other player.

But he can only match the contract if he has the space. Correct? So he has to make the space within the next 24hrs and then he can match?

yeah, he'll need space to match, then Beal just becomes a standard contracted player and can be traded normal

disagree. He can match and then he has 24 hours to find the space

yep, sorry my response was not really clear around timings.. Beal can be matched anytime in the next 24 hour.. at which point he will have 24 hours to clear cap to make contract official.. after which he can be traded like any contracted player.

1)So he can sign him. 2)Then he has to make the space within 24hrs. 3)Then he can trade him?
Not before hand at any point?
I’m just wanting this to me clear that’s all

This is all very confusing. I can't sign Beal unless I clear space even though I will just trade him away as I don't have cap space? Makes little sense as it would be easy for me to trade a player like Kemba Walker to Rookies then sign Beal then trade Beal and then have Rookies just trade Walker back to me.
Problem solved but everyone has a bad taste in their mouth. Why put everyone through that when an easy workaround exists namely if I sign him I have 24 hours to sort his contract or trade him?
But if you say my workaround is valid then Rookies and I will do that.
