Correct, but that happens well before Free Agency (IRL). Once free agency hits the Restricted rights only allows the team to match an offer not continue to change the contract structure because it doesn’t suit the team matching the offer. I just think it’s stupid.

It's no different then bidding up your own bid, that would never happen in the real NBA either. I don't see an issue with bidding on your own RFA's if you want to make the contract terms more favourable to your team as the RFA rights holder.

We have no choice to make bids on players since it’s a salary cap league otherwise it would just be a normal dynasty league. There’s obviously some things we can’t avoid. It’s good that you feel ok with bidding on your own RFA’s though 👍🏼 But I still think it’s lame and ridiculous

DGT will not match Kyrie Irving 4 x 12M+ ever. As this contract will stick if he decides to quit the NBA to become a rapper, run for US presidency, join the WWE, work in Health, join Destiny's Child, for what ever reason.

If there is no further bids on Kyrie by the time 24 hours expires I will be asleep.
I will take some time to discuss with my financial advisor if we should match.
Though I'll hate myself down the track.
