As specific terms are set for this fixed contract, then matching means 11.5 M will need to be added to Suicide Squad's salary. Based on the current spreadsheet, Suicide has $3,750 cap space. Adding $11.5M means the cap space has been over by -$7,750 for over 24 hours. The existing RFA manager has 24 hours to show that they can honour the contract under the salary cap which hasn't been done in this case. I understand that generally salary structures don't need to be finalised until the end of the FA period. But in this case, this contract pushes what's in the spreadsheet over the cap? And other contracts haven't been finalised to reduce being over the salary cap for 24 hours. The responsibility is on the RFA manager to prove that the contract can be signed under the cap within 24 hours. Can we have a commish ruling if the 24 hour rule of demonstrating that you have enough cap space still applies? Nope. Your 'specific terms' are irrelevant. When matching RFA only total and years matter. In terms of SS current cap situation, contracts for Edwards, Ball and George are yet to be finalised so values in spreedsheet are only estimates. Edwards (160/4) could start as low as about 33, and ball (90/3) could start around 26 which would give SS around 14-15m available to match Williams

So the 24 hour rule doesn't apply anymore then now that we don't need to finalise contracts?

Or do we work out the min starting salary for each contract to be finalised and then add the new contract in.

the 24h would only apply if there was no way the contract could be matched without going over cap.
for instance, if williams contract was for 30m 1 year, there would be no way for SS to structure Ball/Edwards/Georges contracts to free enough space for williams.
