Here are a few ideas I've had kicking around for the league, take a look and let me know what you all think. Also if anyone has any other ideas let me know would love to here them.
Free Agent Discount & Playoff Roster Lock.
Free agents signed after the all-star break will have their salary dropped to $250,000, however players can no longer be added/dropped during playoffs.
Expansion Draft.
At some point, I would like to add two new teams and hold an expiation draft. Each of the existing teams would need to nominate maybe 4 or 5 contracted players for the new teams to pick from. Would put a limit of a maximum of maybe 2 players taken from each team.
Restricted Free Agency.
Would like to scrap the rule that lets teams nominate one of their free agents as a restricted free agent. Would still keep RFA for players coming off rookie contracts.
Trading ‘Cash’
When trading players you can add ‘cash’ to pay some of the players salary. For example, If a player’s contract is $10M per year, the team trading him could agree to continue to pay $3M per year of the players salary, and his new team would only pay the remaining $7M.

Don't see any problem but we need this issue of the IL sorted out. 2 IL is not compatible with a contract league.

[TOM] - Disagree - RFA can only apply to one player. We get to keep one player per year, and its the only "loyalty" that we have for sticking with players. Otherwise top 10 players would just be traded for draft picks in their final year. [TOM] - Agree - with some kind of option to keep rookies. As you have to hang in there while they are developing.

Similar to NBA playoff rosters would be set a start of playoffs and not change.
