So we are going to have another vote.. But this time instead of just voting for your favourite, if you could all email or post your preferences for the following options. (1. Most preferred to 4. Least preferred)
Option 1.
Prize Money (Current Rule).
Teams will be awarded prize money in the form of extra salary cap space for the following season based on their end of season record
Monies will be allocated as follows…
.000-.399 - $0
.400-.449 - $2,000,000
.450-.499 - $4,000,000
.500+ - $6,000,000
Option 2.
Teams caught intentionally benching players in order to lose a match up will face the following penalties.
1. First occurrence of such activity will give you a warning
2. Second occurrence will net you a 5m cap penalty for the following season.
3. Third occurrence forfeiting your round one draft pick (or best available pick)
4. Forth occurrence could lead to removal from the league.
Option 3.
Even lottery system; All bottom 6 teams will get a 1/6 chance at top pick. - So team the finishes 7 has just as much chance to get pick 1 as team that finishes 12. - So there is not point to benching players.
Option 4.
Count bench stats.
This is somewhat similar to the ‘Best-Ball’ scoring method you may have seen in fantasy football. Where the best possible score is calculated from both your starters and bench players each day/week.
The key difference is we will count stats from ALL players on your team each day and compare to your opponents.
This will create a secondary standing that will be used only to determine the draft order.
This should be easy to automate, and results can be published directly to the forum for everyone to track.
