I find this trade strange.
A FA is traded immediately after he is signed. Not a RFA, but a FA.
For a big cost of M Robinson, 1st round pick and 2nd round pick.
When he could have been bidded on for free a few hours earlier.

I don’t think he paid too much for Booker who is a top 10 player. Mitchell Robinson may potentially be a top 25 if he can get his foul trouble under wraps

Maybe he didn’t think he’d win? Maybe he didn’t have the cap space? There could be a myriad of reasons why this trade happened now.

Maybe they had an agreement not to bid the price up and wage off against each other. No big deal to me. Even if they had an agreement anyone else could have stepped in and raised the bid.
No one else did. They both have a ton of cap space. They could have bid each other way up but once the Process started bidding the Spaniard probably just approached him with a what if deal.
Total non issue to me. Booker has to play somewhere. I am sure everybody is trying to work deals on the sly.
